Netflix Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Streaming Issues

The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing event took place on Friday, November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. More than 70,000 fans were in attendance to see 27-year-old Jake Paul fighting 58-year-old Mike Tyson.

According to Netflix, the main event garnered an estimated average minute audience of 108 million live viewers globally. However, the streaming quality of the event was very poor. Therefore, many expressed their frustration on social media.

On Monday, Ronald "Blue" Denton filed a class action lawsuit against Netflix in Florida, TMZ reported. Denton alleged he and thousands of others struggled to watch the Paul vs. Tyson event. The suit claimed they “were faced with legendary problems, including no access, streaming glitches, and buffering issues.” Denton is suing Netflix for breach of contract and asking for unspecified damages.
