WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis recently appeared on BBC Radio Norfolk, where he answered a question about CM Punk. Aldis later blamed the BBC journalist, Rob Butler, for changing the narrative.
The journalist posted a video clip of Aldis’ interview with the following caption:

With Aldis’ video clip, many fans assumed Punk would indeed return to WWE. However, Nick Aldis stated that his answer was edited out of context.
“I'm disappointed that this answer is edited out of context, considering it's the BBC. For the record, I have no dog in the fight, and that situation is above my paygrade. Be better journalists.”

Rob Butler then apologized to Nick Aldis and stated that he had asked Aldis about three wrestlers that he was willing to work with on SmackDown. The third wrestler was CM Punk.
For context I asked Nick for an honest opinion on potentially working with three wrestlers on the Smackdown roster who are currently not active in WWE. CM Punk was one of them.
