SmackDown commentator Corey Graves was absent from last night's show due to the birth of his and Carmella’s first child. Before the show began, Kevin Owens requested the General Manager of SmackDown Nick Aldis to make him a commentator for the show. Aldis fulfilled Owens’ request under one condition. SmackDown GM told Owens that he shouldn’t involved in any matches and can’t put his hands on anyone.
LA Knight faced Grayson Waller in a singles match on last night's SmackDown. Knight picked up the victory with a BFT. After the bout, Kevin Owens mocked Grayson Waller and Austin Theory by using a telestrator. The Aussie Icon then poured water on Owens. The Prizefighter then attacked both Waller and Theory.
Cathy Kelley interviewed Kevin Owens after SmackDown. Nick Aldis interrupted the interview and told Owens that he was suspended.
