El Hijo Del Vikingo successfully retained his AAA Mega Championship by defeating Mike Bailey, Jack Cartwheel, and Daga in a Four-Way match on the August 12th Triplemanía XXXI event.
Yesterday, we reported that Vikingo has collapsed backstage after the match. Footage of medical staff carrying him on a stretcher was circulated on social media. Many fans thought that it was a “work”. However, that's not the case.

PWInsider reported that Vikingo’s incident was legit. PWInsider added that the 26-year-old has been dehydrated. They also noted that Vikingo is fine and won’t miss any upcoming events.
“Vikingo was legitimately not feeling well going into the match last night.
We are told that today, Vikingo is fine and will not be missing any upcoming dates. We are told he ended up dehydrated and didn't eat enough yesterday, but he's fine.”
