NJPW Independence Day took place on July 4th and 5th as a two-day event at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Here are the results of Night One:
- Bad Dude Tito defeated The DKC.
- Team Filthy (Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs & J. R. Kratos) defeated Lance Archer, Ryohei Oiwa & Alex Zayne in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
- Tom Lawlor defeated Kosei Fujita.
- Eddie Kingston & Rocky Romero defeated Bullet Club (Kenta & Gedo) in a Tag Team match.
- Willow Nightingale & Momo Kohgo defeated Donna Del Mondo (Thekla & Giulia) in a Tag Team match.
- Bullet Club War Dogs (Gabriel Kidd & Alex Coughlin) became the new NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions by defeating Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi).
- Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) became the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions by defeating Catch 2/2 (Francesco Akira & TJP).
- El Desperado & Jun Kasai defeated Jon Moxley & Homicide in a No Disqualification Tag Team match.

- Satoshi Kojima defeated Oskar Leube.
- Catch 2/2 (Francesco Akira & TJP) defeated Homicide & Ryohei Oiwa in a Tag Team match.
- Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) retained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships by defeating Chaos (Yoh & Rocky Romero).
- Lance Archer & Alex Zayne defeated Kosei Fujita & Bad Dude Tito in a Tag Team match.
- Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tomohiro Ishii & The DKC defeated Team Filthy (Tom Lawlor, Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs) in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
- Giulia became the new NJPW Strong Women's Champion by defeating Willow Nightingale.
- Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi) retained the IWGP Tag Team Championships by defeating Bullet Club War Dogs (Gabriel Kidd & Alex Coughlin).
- Eddie Kingston became the new NJPW Strong Openweight Champion by defeating KENTA.
- Jon Moxley defeated El Desperado in a Final Death Match.
