WATCH: Seth Rollins Defended World Heavyweight Championship After WWE SmackDown Went Off Air

Last night’s SmackDown took place at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The entire show was built around Jey Uso. Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa kicked off SmackDown and Heyman offered a United States Championship opportunity for Jey Uso.

In addition, Charlotte Flair made her return to SmackDown and challenged Asuka to a match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Bayley and Iyo Sky qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match while Santos Escobar and Butch qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

In the main event, Jey Uso faced Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Pretty Deadly interfered while the referee was knocked out during the match. Jimmy Uso then came to the ring to help his brother. However, Solo Sikoa attacked Jimmy Uso. Jimmy then accidentally hit a superkick on Jey. As a result, Jey Uso lost to Austin Theory.

After SmackDown went off the air, Seth Rollins defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest. Rollins retained the title. Following the match, Rollins received a huge ovation from the hometown fans. The Visionary then addressed the fans at the arena.
